I have been teaching Preschool in Taiwan for 15+ years and am highly experienced in teaching a variety of subjects such as phonics, reading, listening comprehension, writing, conversation, art, drama, science, Montessori as well as physical education.
I find teaching preschool is so much fun and never has a dull moment. In a single day working with a group of active and engaged little minds, I end up hearing and seeing some pretty amusing moments. I always love the little things children say and it always puts a smile on my face. It’s pretty much impossible not to feel happy when you look around the room and see a bunch of little people happily chatting away to each other in English and know that you had a big part to play in their growth.
I strongly believe that childhood education is important because the first three to five years play a key role in a child’s life as they begin to absorb the world around them and develop. These experiences that children have early in their lives affect their development physically, cognitively, emotionally and socially. The best investment to ensure the future success of a child is to invest in the early years of their lives.
Children develop the healthiest when they are provided environments in which they can explore the world around them, play with others, and learn to speak and listen to others. This is why not only is it important to make learning a fun experience and spark curiosity in each child but it is also my goal and major focus as an early childhood educator.
